Are you a finance, billing, or practice management professional looking to take the next step in your career?
We're seeking an Assistant Legal Practice Manager to play a key role in supporting the financial and operational success of our growing national law firm. Working closely with our Directors, National Practice Manager, lawyers, and support teams, you'll help drive strong commercial outcomes while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

What You'll Be Doing
Managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and trust accounting
Overseeing the end-to-end billing process, including WIP reviews, invoicing, collections, and debtor management
Supporting legal costing requirements, cost disclosures, and compliance obligations
Assisting with the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and profit and loss reporting
Producing meaningful financial reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics
Analysing financial performance and providing practical recommendations to support business decisions
Maintaining and enhancing practice management, billing, and reporting systems
Collaborating across multiple offices to improve efficiency, profitability, and operational performance
What You'll Bring
Minimum 2 years' experience in finance, accounting, billing, or practice management
Experience within a legal or professional services environment will be highly regarded
Sound understanding of billing practices, financial reporting, and costs management
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Experience using practice management and financial systems such as LEAP, Collexus, or similar platforms
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and solve problems effectively
Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline are desirable
