About the Role and Our Practice

As our Patient Concierge / Reception Person, you will play a central role in the day-to-day patient experience. You will welcome patients warmly and professionally, create a genuinely personal experience, and support patients before and after consultations.

COSMEX is an established plastic surgery practice with an experienced and supportive team. We operate during standard business hours.

To be an eligible candidate, you must be available to work between the hours of 8.30am or 9.00am, and to work through until 5.00pm to 5.30pm, with occasional finishes at 6.00pm when required.

Availability across these hours is an essential requirement of the position.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients warmly and professionally

• Creating a genuinely personal experience

• Managing a busy front desk and telephone

• Scheduling appointments and managing patient bookings

• Supporting patients before and after consultations

• Providing information about appointments, procedures and next steps

• Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient records

• Managing correspondence, emails and general administration

• Liaising with surgeons, nurses and other members of the clinical team

• Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive patient information appropriately

About You

• Previous experience in medical, specialist or private practice reception

• Warm, friendly and naturally welcoming

• Confident and professional in your communication

• Calm and composed when the reception area gets busy

• Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities

• Accurate and attentive to detail

• Comfortable discussing sensitive and confidential matters

• Proactive rather than waiting to be told what needs doing

• A team player who is happy to pitch in wherever needed

• Reliable and committed to being an important part of the team
