Wise ELC Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and dedicated OSHC Coordinator to join our team at St Marys Anglican Girls School Karrinyup, WA. This is a part-time or full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality out-of-school hours care to our students.
As OSHC Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising engaging activities and educational programmes that support the wellbeing, development, and enjoyment of children in our care. You will work collaboratively with our broader team to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child thrives.
Key responsibilities
Plan, develop, and deliver age-appropriate recreational, educational, and enrichment activities that engage children and promote their development
Supervise and manage OSHC sessions, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of all children in attendance
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements, including attendance registers and incident reports
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's participation and experiences in OSHC
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including child protection and work health and safety standards
Manage the OSHC space and resources, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children
Build positive relationships with children, fostering trust and encouraging their confidence and independence
Collaborate with the broader Wise Preschool team to coordinate schedules and ensure consistency in child care practices
Support children with homework and learning activities as required
Foster inclusion and celebrate diversity within the OSHC program
What we're looking for
Relevant qualification in childcare, education, or a related discipline (such as a Certificate III in Childcare or equivalent)
Current Working with Children Check clearance or willingness to obtain one
Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practice in out-of-school hours care settings
Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children in a care or educational environment
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
A genuine passion for supporting children's wellbeing, development, and enjoyment
Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to challenging situations
Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain it
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work part-time hours including before and after school sessions
