New Vehicle Stock Controller

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our high-performing dealership team.

This critical role is responsible for overseeing the dealership's new vehicle inventory, ensuring accurate vehicle records, monitoring stock movements, coordinating vehicle arrivals and deliveries, and supporting the sales team throughout the vehicle sales process.

This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, exceptional attention to detail, and previous experience within an automotive dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage vehicle ordering in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and requirements

• Prepare and process vehicle registration documentation and associated paperwork to facilitate timely vehicle preparation and delivery

• Raise purchase orders for vehicle pre-delivery detailing and accessory fitment

• Coordinate vehicle stock swaps and transfers with other dealerships to optimise inventory availability and support sales opportunities

• Analyse inventory levels, sales trends and vehicle pipelines to assist with stock forecasting and ordering recommendations

• Prepare regular inventory, production and performance reports, while providing operational support and coverage across the broader team as required

• Work closely with Sales, Pre-Delivery and Administration to ensure the efficient management of vehicle inventory and delivery processes

• Monitor vehicle arrivals, inventory status and ageing stock to ensure optimal stock management and turnover

• Maintain accurate vehicle records and inventory data within the Dealer Management System

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience as an Automotive Stock Controller preferred

• Experience using dealership management systems

• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced dealership environment
