Business Trainer and Assessor - BSB50120 Diploma of Business
Located: Kangaroo Point Campus
Report to: VET Manager

About the Role
As a Business Trainer & Assessor, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment while creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. Working closely with the Academic and Compliance teams, you will ensure students achieve successful learning outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, student-centred training and assessment for the BSB50120 Diploma of Business.
Develop and implement lesson plans, learning resources, and assessment activities that meet training package requirements.
Assess student competency and provide constructive, timely feedback.
Monitor student attendance, progression, and academic performance.
Maintain accurate academic records and assessment documentation in accordance with RTO and CRICOS requirements.
Foster an inclusive, supportive, and culturally diverse learning environment.
Participate in validation, moderation, continuous improvement, and professional development activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Contribute positively to college events, orientation programs, and student support initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent/current compliant qualification).
A Diploma of Business or higher qualification in a relevant discipline.
Demonstrated industry experience in business, management, administration, leadership, or a related field.
Experience delivering vocational education and competency-based training.
Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
A passion for supporting students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Experience working within an RTO and with international (CRICOS) students will be highly regarded.
Experience using student management systems such as aXcelerate is desirable.
