Procurement & Inventory Manager

About the role

ROBUK Engineering is seeking an experienced Procurement & Inventory Manager to take ownership of procurement, supplier performance and inventory management within our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CEO and operational leadership team, you will lead the purchasing and stores/warehouse functions and ensure materials are available to support production at the right cost, quality and inventory level. This is a hands-on leadership role with the opportunity to improve systems, strengthen commercial outcomes and make a measurable impact across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement, purchasing and inventory management across the business.

• Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers.

• Manage supplier performance across cost, quality and on-time delivery.

• Optimise inventory levels while reducing shortages, excess stock and waste.

• Work with production and planning teams to forecast material requirements.

• Improve Kanban, BOM, part numbering and inventory control processes.

• Strengthen standard costing and inventory movement controls.

• Identify and deliver procurement savings and cost improvements.

• Lead and develop the Purchasing and Stores/Warehouse teams.

• Drive continuous improvement across procurement and inventory processes.

About you

• Significant procurement, inventory or supply chain experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar industrial environment.

• Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management experience.

• Sound knowledge of inventory management, materials planning and production requirements.

• Experience with ERP systems, BOMs and inventory controls.

• Strong experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar.

• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.

• Proven experience leading and developing teams.

• A relevant supply chain, business or related qualification is highly regarded.
