Statewide Nuclear Medicine Scientist Educator

About the role

The Nuclear Medicine Scientist Statewide Educator provides expert leadership for the education, training and professional development of Nuclear Medicine Scientists across Queensland Health. Working as part of a dedicated statewide educator team, the role supports experienced clinicians, new graduates and students through the development and delivery of contemporary education programs, clinical supervision frameworks and workforce capability initiatives.

The successful candidate will collaborate with healthcare services, universities and professional stakeholders to coordinate student placements, enhance clinical education standards and drive consistent learning opportunities across publicly operated nuclear medicine services. The role also leads educational innovation, supports specialist clinical skill development and contributes to research, service improvement and professional practice advancement across the Nuclear Medicine Scientist workforce.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Lead and maintain high-quality clinical education and supervision programs for Nuclear Medicine Scientists and students across Queensland Health nuclear medicine services.
• Develop, implement and evaluate statewide education, training and continuing professional development initiatives across all nuclear medicine modalities.
• Collaborate with universities, clinical placement coordinators and healthcare facilities to support student training, workforce development and educational excellence.
• Provide expert advice and leadership on clinical education, professional standards, competency development and emerging models of care within the profession.
• Support research, innovation and service improvement activities that strengthen clinical education, professional capability and statewide workforce outcomes.
