Team Leader Production / Packaging (FMCG)

Wholly South Australian owned and with multiple manufacturing sites around Australia, our Head Office and main manufacturing factory is based in Windsor Gardens, north east of the Adelaide CBD.

About the role:

San Remo has continued to expand its operations and further enhance the production team. We are currently seeking an experienced 2 Team Leader to work at our manufacturing facility in Windsor Gardens. The successful candidate will undertake trainee as a Team Leader including WHS, performance management, quality and compliance, operational demands and general day to day tasks. This fast-paced hands-on role that will support the Team Leader, in labour allocation, driving safety, quality and productivity standards and finding solutions to problems as they arise . This position does not provide the ability to work from home.

 About you:

In order to be successful in this role, candidates will ideally meet the following criteria:

• Experience in a supervisor/leadership or backup role within a production/packaging/food/ manufacturing environment;

• Experience within fast paced automated manufacturing environment, with the ability to operate machinery and troubleshoot;

• Willingness to 'lead from the front', using a hands-on approach;

• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in high pressure situations;

• Highly developed problem solving skills;

• A genuine desire to produce high quality results;

• Working knowledge of ISO/HACCP and WHS systems;

• Drive to get the best out of yourself and others;

• Frontline management/leadership training would an advantage.

Candidates must be willing to perform shift work with the opportunity for regular overtime and some weekend work.  Demonstrated experience of previous shift work highly is regarded.
