Tradesman and 2nd-4th Year Apprentice

About the role
Sparked Electrical are a highly qualified team of electrical contractors who operate on largely high density residential and commercial projects throughout Newcastle.

Due to continuing growth, Sparked Electrical are looking for Tradesmen and 2nd to 4th Year Apprentices to support multiple Commercial, Industrial and High Density residential projects. This role would be suited to an individual who is looking for an opportunity to further their career within a hardworking and knowledgeable team. 

You will be working on the following project types:

• High density residential development

• Small to large commercial projects

• Electrical works including (But not limited to):

  • Power

  • Lighting

  • Dry Fire

  • Data/ MATV/ Communications

  • Security & Access Control

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Work collaboratively with a team of electricians across commercial and residential projects

• Support all phases of electrical installation and commissioning

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently and effectively

• Mentor and support junior team members (Tradesman role)

• Maintain accurate records of tasks completed and materials used

• Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm

  • Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm

To Be Successful, You Will Have: 

• Current qualification as a Tradesman Electrician or be a 2nd–4th Year Apprentice

• Relevant electrical licenses

• Current Drivers’ License and reliable transport

• White Card

• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships

• Initiative and willingness to take ownership of your work

• Yellow Card (EWP) and additional licenses (highly regarded but not essential)
