About the opportunity
The Pharmacy Department at Mercy Hospital for Women provides clinical pharmacy services to inpatients, outpatients and day patients in the areas of obstetrics, gynaecology, gynae-oncology, neonatal intensive care and special care nursery. The role will deliver clinical pharmacy services to inpatients including medication reconciliation, dispensing and counseling, and participation in multidisciplinary meetings and ward rounds.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Registered as a pharmacist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience
• An interest in contributing to audit, research, education and teaching
• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt, and problem solve.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative small but dedicated team environment.
• Desirable: Relevant post-graduate qualification

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
