About the role
Are you a qualified Swim Instructor or Swim Coach who loves helping people build confidence in the water?
We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic instructor to join us and take on a key role within our established Adult Learn to Swim program at our Indooroopilly pool.
At Element Swimming, we’re proud of our highly regarded adult swimming program, helping adults of all abilities learn to swim, improve their technique and develop the confidence to enjoy everything Brisbane and South East Queensland has to offer, from pools and beaches to rivers and lakes.
About the role
You'll work with adult swimmers across a wide range of abilities, from complete beginners who may be nervous around the water through to more confident swimmers looking to improve their technique and fitness. You'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference to adults who are learning a life-changing skill.
Key responsibilities
Teach adult swimmers across a wide range of abilities, from complete beginners through to more confident swimmers looking to improve their technique and fitness
Work independently with adult swimmers
Build rapport with adult swimmers of different ages, abilities and backgrounds
Commit to regular weekly shifts Monday to Thursday 5:45pm–7:30pm and Saturday 6:30am–10:30am
About you
A current swim teaching or coaching qualification
At least 2 years' teaching or coaching experience
Strong swimming knowledge and an understanding of stroke technique
A friendly, patient and encouraging teaching style
Confidence working with adults of different ages, abilities and backgrounds
Reliability and the ability to commit to regular weekly shifts
Benefits
$35–$40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
