SENIOR CHILD AND YOUTH WORKER - OPERATIONS AND COMPLIANCE

Join our Residential Care team as a Senior Child and Youth Worker, Operations and Compliance, where you will provide guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality service delivery. Based in Keswick, this role will see you work across a variety of settings, providing coaching and practical support to strengthen practice standards and build the capability of Child and Youth Workers.

In this role, you will:

• Support Child and Youth Workers to build capability and confidence
• Promote trauma-informed and culturally safe practice across Residential Care
• Lead staff induction, learning and reflective practice to drive continuous improvement
• Provide guidance through complex situations, including critical incidents and care concerns
• Work collaboratively to provide operational guidance, maintain compliance and strengthen service delivery.

About you:

• You have experience mentoring and supporting new staff while promoting inclusive practice
• You communicate effectively and build trusted relationships with diverse groups
• You promote culturally safe practice and understand the importance of culture and identity
• You work independently to achieve team priorities and deliver quality outcomes
• You have experience supporting children and young people with complex needs and developing appropriate programs.

Essential Qualifications:

• Willingness to complete the Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Intervention within 12 months of commencing employment
• Current HLTAID004 – Provide Emergency First Aid in an Education Care Setting Certificate
• Satisfactory psychological suitability assessment to work with children and young people
• Current South Australian driver’s licence (P2 or above) and willingness to drive as required.
