The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for Assistants in Nursing to join our permanent and casual pool at Mayo Private Hospital on our Medical / Surgical / Rehabilitation Ward. Reporting to our Nurse Unit Manager, you will work within a supportive, dynamic team of dedicated nurses and allied health professionals providing quality, evidence-based care.

Essential Criteria:

• Hold Certificate 3 in Health Services Assistant

• Proven experience in assisting patients in matters of personal hygiene, toileting, pressure area care, feeding

• Under the supervision of senior nursing team, perform, record and report general observations such as blood, pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and temperature

• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a high-pressure environment

• Effective communication and time management

• Current NSW working with children check

• National Police Check certificate – No older than 3 months on application
