About the role
Let me paint you a picture of a typical day at Agape. A woman comes through your door apprehensive about returning to exercise after having a baby. You don’t just run through a checklist. You listen to all her worries. She begins to share how nervous she is. So you listen more. And then you support her step by step so she can reach her goal. Because you know this is not about running. This is about helping her feel ‘her’ again.
She shows deep gratitude as you say your goodbyes.. and that in itself gives you this breath of purpose helping your people achieve their goals.
Later, you’re treating a shoulder, a knee or a back. Different problem, same standard: understand what is actually driving their pain, giving them clarity, and helping them move towards the things that matter to them.
And when you notice something that could be better — a patient resource, the way we deliver a service, an education opportunity — you don’t walk past it thinking, “Someone should fix that.”
You think:
“How could we make this better?”
That’s the kind of team member we’re looking for.
You’ll likely be:
A caring person who makes others feel heard, understood and supported
Curious enough to keep asking why rather than settling for the obvious answer
Coachable and genuinely hungry to keep becoming better
Someone who can own a mistake without ego, learn from it and move forward
A teammate who notices when someone is under pressure and rallies around them
Someone who brings ideas instead of waiting to be told what to think or do.
Excited by the opportunity to make a bigger impact in physio through the work you do every day
We want you to grow.
But growth here doesn’t mean throwing you into the deep end and saying, “Good luck.”
You’ll have:
1:1 mentoring with a specialist physio
Regular individual support and feedback
Weekly Team Support - Team Mentoring / Lunch & Learns
Support working through complex cases
Support developing your clinical reasoning, communication and confidence
Generous PD Allowance
Early on, we’ll stay close to support you.
As your confidence and judgement grow, we’ll gradually give you more ownership and freedom.
The goal isn’t dependence.
It’s to help you become the kind of clinician who can think clearly, make good decisions and back yourself. Because we know this is where your impact will be the greatest.
The Agape Way (how we do physio)We chase the true cause - we look for all the contributing factors and build people back to function — not weekly appointments forever.
We care for real - Patients and teammates feel it. We protect culture like it matters (because it does).
Proactive over reactive health - Getting someone out of pain is step one. The real goal is a better life: strength, sport, Pilates, running, confidence.
This part matters.
We want you to help us increase our impact through becoming an exceptional person and clinician.
That might mean helping a pregnant woman feel confident continuing to exercise.
Helping a new mum return to running without fear.
Creating a resource that answers a question you keep hearing from your patients.
Contributing to a workshop or education session.
Improving part of the patient journey.
And simply becoming so good at what you do that your people leave thinking - “I wish someone had told me this years ago.”
Over time, we want to help you become known for something - career pathways beyond "treat forever":
We actively create opportunities based on your strengths and effort:
clinical development projects
flagship offers
leadership + mentoring pathways
clinic development projects (systems, offers, patient experience)
workshops/community events/collabs
personal brand development
You don’t need to know exactly what that thing is yet.
But we want someone excited to discover it.
This role is perfect for you if...You want more than a comfortable job.
You want to look back in a few years and realise you are a significantly better clinician, communicator and person than when you started.
You’ll probably thrive here if you:
Want to become exceptional rather than simply 'good enough'
Enjoy being challenged and supported at the same time
Actually want feedback — even when it is uncomfortable
Care deeply about the quality of your patient outcomes
Want to help create something better rather than simply inherit what already exists
Are excited about contributing to the future of our women’s health service
Enjoy being around people who care, work hard and still laugh together
Believe patients deserve clarity, a plan and progress they can actually see
enjoy the journey of change, learning and the discomfort that comes with getting better
Come in, do the bare minimum and leave.
Take feedback personally or avoid accountability
Prefer doing things the way they have always been done. Not challenging the status quo.
Find change frustrating rather than exciting
Wait for the perfect answer before taking action
Prefer working individually rather than contributing to a team
Aren’t genuinely interested in helping people through women’s health and general MSK.
Want to remain comfortable more than you want to grow
We don’t expect perfection.
We do expect ownership, effort, curiosity and a willingness to keep getting better.
