Personal Care Assistants and Disability Support Workers

Kuka Cares is seeking full time Disability Support Workers and Personal Care Assistants to work directly with our NDIS participants to help them live a more independant and fulfilling life.

The Role:

Personal Care Assistant:

• assisting participants with their personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating;

• assisting participants with their mobility and communication needs;

• participating in planning the care of individuals;

• following care plans created by Registered Nurses, Physio, Occupational Therapist etc to assist participants with complex support needs, behavioural concern needs etc

• observe and report and changes in participants condition and report any complaints regarding the participants care;

• asssit with rehabilitation exercises, basic treatment and administering of medications;

• provide direct support and assistance to Registered Nurses and therapists

Disability Support Worker (Disabled Carer):

• support participants with their daily activities and personal care;

• assist participants with mobility;

• assist participants with meal preparation and feeding;

• arrange and accompany participants on social activities within the community;

• perform housekeeping and domestic tasks within the participants home;

• assist participants with personal hygience, showering and dressing;

• provide participants with companionship and emotional support;

Skills and Experience Required:

• Current First Air and Manual Handling Certificate;

• Drivers Licence;

• Certiificate III in Individual Supports or Minimum 1 Year Relevant Experience;

• NDIS Worker Screening Check;

• Current Working with Children Check

Annual Salary:

$80,000.00 per annum (38 hour working week) + Superannuation
