MPE Group are a family owned and run company since 1989. We have several different divisions, including service, construction and industrial and we also run HVAC and commercial building businesses from the same office.  A team of friendly and motivated staff ensure a great working environment.

Main tasks include but not limited to:

• Variety of service/small installation work in commercial and retail buildings

• Lots of face-to-face contact with clients and the general public. Good communication, manners and presentation is important

• Attention to detail

• Thermal imaging & visual inspections of switchboards on commercial sites. Experience is preferable.

• RCD compliance testing

• Emergency light testing

• Electrical Compliance Testing

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Effectively respond to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner

• Carry out all tasks associated with commercial maintenance including exit & emergency testing and repairs, lighting maintenance, fault finding, and ordering materials

• Analysis of faults & failures, to create reactive solutions for onsite lighting and power faults

• Working across multiple sites in the commercial industry

• Standard working hours (7:30-4:00) with a nominal amount of overtime

What candidates will bring to the role:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as an A grade electrician in the service industry

• Comprehensive set of hand tools

• Ensure safety, health and quality standards are maintained

• Ensure the company is represented in a professional manner at all times

• Excellent organisational skills

• A grade electrical License

• A current Victorian manual driver license

• A current National Police Record Check or a preparedness to undergo a National Police Record Check

• Proven experience in the commercial service industry, including problem solving skills, and reactive solutions

• Ability to work efficiently and autonomously

• Great communication skills with ability to work in a team environment

• Sound knowledge of OH&S regulations
