Civil Works Labourer/ Operator

Join our Civil Works team and help build and maintain essential infrastructure across our community.

We're looking for hardworking, safety focused Civil Works Labourers/Operators who enjoy working outdoors, operating plant and equipment, and being part of a team that delivers quality civil construction and maintenance projects to the Maitland community.

The Opportunity:

As a Civil Works Labourer/Operator, you'll play an important role in the construction, maintenance and repair of roads, drainage, footpaths and other civil infrastructure.

In this hands-on role, you will:

• Perform general civil labouring duties across a range of projects.
• Operate civil plant and equipment, including rollers and other machinery.
• Drive and operate trucks and work vehicles as required.
• Assist with construction, maintenance and repair works.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience working in civil construction, maintenance or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of civil plant, equipment and construction materials.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A reliable work ethic and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks.
• Good problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing work requirements.
• A current Class C Driver's Licence.

Benefits:

These are full-time, permanent roles, working a 38 hour week, with a base salary range of $30.19 - $33.51 per hour based on demonstrated competencies + allowances + 12% super.
