About Us

We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in our Yarragon store.

Our rural retail network includes Yarragon Rural Supplies, Poowong Dairy & Hardware, and Bunyip Rural Supplies. Since opening Yarragon Rural Supplies in 2015, we have grown into a trusted group of stores proudly servicing rural communities across Gippsland.

Our team is committed to providing outstanding customer service, expert advice, and a comprehensive range of quality rural, farming, and hardware products. We work closely together across all three locations to deliver a consistent and positive shopping experience for our customers.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic team member who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

The successful applicant will:

• Have outstanding communication and customer service skills.

• Be self-motivated with a proactive attitude.

• Work well both independently and as part of a team.

• Have strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn.

• Have experience in the rural, agricultural, retail, or hardware industry (preferred but not essential).

• Hold a current manual driver's licence, as deliveries form part of this role.

• Hold a current forklift licence or be willing to obtain one.

• Hold a current truck licence or be willing to obtain one.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week over five days. Once fully trained, you'll also work Saturday mornings on a rotating fortnightly roster.

As this role involves regular manual handling, a satisfactory Pre-Employment Medical Assessment will be required as a condition of employment.
