Our Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team and provide a fresh and innovative mindset to the business’ objectives. The purpose of this position is to achieve delivery of planned time, cost, and quality metrics for projects in line with NEPEAN Conveyor’s policies and procedures.
This position is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. Core responsibilities include however are not limited to: Understand and follow Nepean goals and NDNA
ISO Adherence to all certifications Develop an effective Project Execution Plan for each project. Successfully coordinate and complete projects on time within budget, scope, and appropriate timeframe.
Oversee all aspects of projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress of the project. Prepare status reports and present them to relevant stakeholders, including upper management. Liaise with design engineers, technicians, site supervisors, commissioning engineers and contractors as required.
Supervise fabrication, procurement, installation, and construction work to ensure efficient standards of workmanship and work schedules are maintained. Conduct regular site inspections. To work in a safe manner using appropriate Safe
Work Instructions or Safety Operating Procedures The Right Person
We are interested in hearing from you if you have: Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or related discipline. Project management experience, ideally within heavy industrial/mining industry.
Experience managing mechanical engineering product development teams. Experience managing mechanical engineering design and development activities. Experience assessing technical needs, identifying gaps, and providing resolution through recruitment, staff development, and outsourcing.
Experience structural and mechanical assembly manufacturing techniques. Experience supervising technical professionals. Demonstrated ability to lead multiple, technically complex projects from inception to successful completion.
Demonstrated ability to communicate to senior management peers and subordinates that have a variety of cross-functional backgrounds. Demonstrated ability communicating highly technical information to nontechnical audiences. Organisational and time management skills.
