About the role
Reporting to the Business Manager, this role involves supervising farm operations on a 200-hectare family dairy farm milking 600 mostly Friesian cows in a rotary dairy with a split calving herd. You will work across a wide range of areas including herd health, pasture rotation, dairy operations, and irrigation management.
Key responsibilities
Supervise and manage farm team members
Manage herd health and pasture rotation
Oversee dairy operations
Manage irrigation systems
Conduct general farm activities
About you
Demonstrated experience and achievement in a medium or large enterprise in a supervisory role
A track record of effective supervisory skills
Experience in herd health, pasture rotation, dairy operations, and irrigation
An agricultural degree or other certification is advantageous
Good communication and reporting skills
Current driver's licence
A demonstrated commitment to improvement and learning

Wickams Creek Pastoral is a 200-hectare family farm that's been in the family for 45 years. We're passionate about being a safe, sustainable and innovative provider of quality dairy milk to our community through continuous innovation and expansion. In the last 3 years we have upgraded our dairy ID and feed management system, installed two centre pivots, fixed sprinklers, energy saving vacuum pumps and grain crushers in the dairy, automated flood and sprinkler systems, additional bore water pumping capacity, canola feeding capability and more. Our current team on farm have over 120 years of combined dairy experience and a reputation in the community for a respectful and welcoming culture. We offer an engaging, supportive workplace environment.
