Mechanical Fitter - Bunbury Workshop

RCR Mining Technologies are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team on a Full Time basis, located in our Bunbury Workshop.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter at RCR Mining Technologies (RCRMT), a leading business unit within NRW Holdings. This position requires excellent technical skills and a thirst for understanding the mechanical aspects of the equipment being serviced. The Mechanical Fitter must consistently provide efficient and professional service to ensure the smooth operation of mining technologies. 

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Manage Gearbox, Pump, Pulley, Valve, Screen overhauls and OEM component assembly where a level of high precision and quality control is required.

• Operates and maintains all workshop equipment within your skill set

• Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production

• Maintain inventory of completed products

• Provide feedback and input in relation to opportunities for improvement, i.e. tooling, processes and working environment

• Ensure that all machines and equipment are maintained in a clean and tidy condition and that no items are left loose

• Overseeing, guiding, and assisting apprentices and trades assistants

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:

• Live locally in the Southwest

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate

• Current Driver’s Licence

• Work at Heights Certificate

• Confined Space Certificate

• Dogging/Rigging (preferred but not essential)

• Forklift Ticket (preferred but not essential)

• Fitness to handle manual labour and provide a clear drug and alcohol screening

• A solid commitment to safety, along with a genuine reliable nature.
