Links Golf & Wellbeing is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at our prestigious Hope Island operation.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, with a close working relationship with the Club Manager, this is a key role within our finance function. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting, managing important statutory and compliance obligations, and providing financial insight that supports sound business decision-making.

This is much more than a month-end accounting role. You will have broad exposure across financial reporting, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, audit, compliance, accounts payable/receivable and financial analysis.

What you'll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing monthly management reporting and financial analysis
• Preparing and monitoring budgets and financial forecasts
• Identifying trends, variances and opportunities to improve financial performance
• Overseeing payroll processes, including payroll journals, payroll liabilities, STP, Payday Super, Payroll Tax and WorkCover requirements
• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
• Overseeing creditor payment runs and monitoring cash position.
• Providing accounting guidance and support across AP and AR.

Managing interim and annual external audits.

• Coordinating taxation and FBT returns with our external tax accountant.
• Supporting compliance across GST, PAYG withholding, Payroll Tax, WorkCover and other statutory obligations.
• Maintaining strong financial controls and governance.
• Working with the Club Manager on insurance renewals and claims.

About you

You will be an experienced accountant who combines strong technical accounting capability with commercial awareness and a practical, hands-on approach. You will bring:

• 5+ years' experience in a similar senior accounting role.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CPA qualification is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to understand and communicate complex financial and management issues.
• A high level of integrity and commitment to accuracy and completeness.
