About the role
The Bower Re-use and Repair Centre is an environmental charity and co-operative committed to reducing waste and supporting a more sustainable, circular economy.
Through reuse, repair, education and community programs, we help keep valuable goods and materials out of landfill, share practical skills and make sustainable living more accessible.
We are looking for an experienced Communications & Operations Coordinator to help connect our community, communications and day-to-day operations.
This is a varied, hands-on position spanning customer service, communications, workshop administration and marketing, impact reporting and organisational support.
You will be an important point of connection between members of the public, donors, workshop participants, staff and the CEO. You will keep recurring activities on schedule, make sure enquiries and information reach the right people and help improve the systems that support Bower’s work.
The role combines practical administration with communication, coordination and judgement. It would suit someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and can move comfortably between detailed tasks and broader organisational priorities.
You will work closely with the CEO, recommend weekly priorities and collaborate with team members to implement practical improvements.
There is scope for the responsibilities to develop over time in line with your capabilities and Bower’s evolving needs.
