About the role
KAEFER Integrated Services is recruiting Advanced & Intermediate Scaffolders for Shutdown work at a prominent gold and copper site about 25 km from Orange, NSW.
Position is for an immediate start, with work through to mid-late September.
Role Details
Competitive Rates + Penalties + Allowances
DIDO from Sydney and surrounding areas. FIFO from all other capital cities
Casual, shut-down work.
Flexible rosters available

Who We’re Looking For
Reporting to the Scaffold Supervisor, you’ll be part of a tight, hands‑on team helping deliver safe and efficient scaffold work across surface and underground areas while supporting the shutdown scope at one of NSW’s key mining sites.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely erect, modify, inspect and dismantle scaffolding in accordance with AS/NZS 1576 and AS/NZS 4576
• Support maintenance, shutdown, underground and construction work across the site
• Work confidently in underground environments, following ventilation, tagging, isolation and emergency response requirements
• Read and follow scaffold plans, engineered drawings, load ratings and tie-in requirements
• Complete scaffold tags, handover certificates and compliance documentation
• Conduct pre-start checks, hazard identification, JHAs and risk assessments
• Maintain clean, compliant and controlled work areas throughout scaffold activities
• Work safely in restricted, elevated or confined areas as required
What You’ll Bring

• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to high‑risk work protocols
• Reliability, attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
• Current High Risk Work Licence with Scaffolding Class (SA, SI)
• Previous scaffolding experience in mining, heavy industry, shutdowns or construction
• Understanding of mine site safety systems—permits, isolations, JHAs
• Working at Heights & Confined Space tickets (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to interpret scaffold drawings and engineering requirements
• Current driver’s licence
