About The Role

Volta New Energy is seeking an experienced, motivated and results-driven Commercial Solar & Battery Sales Representative to join our growing team based in Chatswood, NSW.

This role is ideal for a sales professional with experience in the solar and battery industry, particularly within the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships and delivering tailored renewable energy solutions to commercial customers.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and the installation process. Experience selling solar and battery solutions for warehouses, factories, shopping centres, commercial buildings, industrial facilities and business premises is highly preferred.

You will work closely with our engineering, design and installation teams to deliver high-quality renewable energy projects from initial enquiry through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial market.

• Prospect and engage new commercial customers through networking, referrals, cold calling and company-generated leads.

• Conduct site visits and energy consultations to understand each client's operational and energy requirements.

• Recommend suitable solar PV and battery storage solutions based on customer needs and electricity usage.

• Prepare professional quotations, proposals and return-on-investment (ROI) analyses.

• Present the technical and financial benefits of solar and battery systems to business owners and decision-makers.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with commercial clients, property owners, developers and facility managers.

• Manage the complete sales process from initial enquiry through contract signing and installation handover.

• Work closely with the engineering, design and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.

• Provide ongoing customer support and identify opportunities for system upgrades, battery additions and future projects.

• Maintain accurate customer records, quotations and sales pipelines using CRM software.

• Stay up to date with industry developments, government rebates, renewable energy technologies and commercial energy solutions.

• Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

• Previous sales experience within the solar and battery industry.

• Fluent in English

• Demonstrated experience selling commercial solar and battery systems.

• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, battery storage systems and the installation process.

• Experience working on commercial and industrial projects, including:

  • Warehouses

  • Factories

  • Manufacturing facilities

  • Commercial offices

  • Shopping centres

  • Retail centres

  • Industrial buildings

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.

• Ability to explain technical solutions clearly to customers.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

• Current Australian Driver Licence.

• Existing network within commercial property, construction or industrial sectors.

• Knowledge of government rebates, STCs, LGCs and commercial energy incentive programs.

• Experience with CRM software and proposal platforms.

• Ability to read electricity bills and understand commercial energy consumption.

• Understanding of grid connection, system sizing and battery integration.
