Wholesaler Manager

About the role

To manage and develop relationships with key wholesale partners, drive sales growth, maximise product distribution, execute commercial plans, and support the achievement of the Company's sales and profitability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial trading terms, rebates, promotional programs, and annual joint business plans with each wholesaler
• Conduct regular business reviews with wholesalers including stock, inventory, and promotional reviews
• Collaborate with the Finance team regarding pricing, CPI adjustments, and commercial modelling, ensuring agreed pricing strategies are effectively implemented
• Resolve commercial issues, claims and deductions in partnership with Finance
• Secure and defend core range listings across wholesaler catalogues, ordering platforms, and digital portals
• Manage new product launches, ensuring agreed volume commitments and launch execution
• Monitor wholesaler inventory, ordering patterns, and stock availability to minimise out-of-stock situations and aged inventory
• Work closely with the National Field Sales Manager and Territory Managers to convert wholesaler purchases into customer sell-out
• Execute annual promotional calendars with wholesalers
• Coordinate wholesaler trade shows, portfolio tastings, customer events, and sales conferences

About you

• 3+ years' FMCG or liquor industry experience
• Experience managing wholesale accounts and negotiating commercial trading terms
• Strong commercial and analytical capability; comfortable in Excel and reporting tools
• Existing relationships across ALM, Paramount or equivalent preferred
• Willingness to travel interstate as needed
• Excel, Pivot Tables, presentations and dashboards
• Sales knowledge and ambition
• High level of analytical skills
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
• Quick learner with strong communication skills
