About the role
JASE Electrical Industries is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Smeaton Grange, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of our electrical manufacturing and industrial equipment. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, repair, and optimisation of machinery and mechanical systems across our facility. This role is essential to our operational success, minimising downtime and ensuring our production capabilities remain at peak performance.
What we're looking for
Trade qualifications or equivalent experience as a Fitter, Turner or Machinist, preferably with recognised credentials or apprenticeship completion
Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance roles
Strong mechanical knowledge and practical skills in the use of hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments
Solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and general engineering principles
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals and equipment specifications
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
Ability to work independently whilst also being a collaborative team member
Valid driver's licence and willingness to undertake ongoing professional development and training
Preferred: Experience with MIG and TIG.
