About the role
Join a growing training team supporting the rail industry, where your expertise will help shape the capability of today’s and tomorrow’s workforce. CERT are looking for Trainers on a full-time, part-time or casual basis, where you will deliver engaging, high-quality training across areas such as Train Driving, Shunting, Infrastructure and Rail Induction. While you may specialise in specific disciplines, your ability to adapt and contribute across multiple training areas will be highly valued. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact on safety, performance and workforce readiness.
This role will report to the National Contracts Co-Ordinator and collaborates closely with the SA Team.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
Certificate and or Statement of Attainment in Rail Infrastructure.
Relevant Industry currency and experience in the field associated with the training delivery.
A detailed understanding of industry training packages and associated qualifications and units of competency.
Experience in the delivery of training programs and professional development to persons engaged in the VET sector.
Must have knowledge of and ensure compliance to legislation and industry standards. These include;
National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act (2011).
VET Standards for RTO's 2015 or most current.
Jurisdictional occupational health and safety and vocational industry-related acts and regulations as they relate to the program being delivered.
Demonstration of high-level interpersonal communication skills, clearly and effectively in both formal and practical environments.
Effective use of the Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications.
Training and assessment delivery applications.
Demonstrated willingness to learn and adopt new technologies to continuously improve processes and service delivery.
Ability to manage own work priorities and job requirements in a timely and effective manner, meeting and negotiating deadlines.
Ability to self-manage participation and work autonomously in professional development activities to increase skills, knowledge and capability to adhere to standards and guidelines.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:
A minimum of five years' experience in the vocational training area/s being delivered.
CERT Training, a subsidiary of Engenco Limited operates Australia wide and delivers nationally accredited training. Specialising in rail and infrastructure training CERT leverages extensive industry experience to deliver effective training solutions. In addition, CERT Training delivers high-risk and specialised training, ensuring compliance with state and national legislation for the transport sector.
