Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer | Hybrid | Process Improvement Focus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer to join their Sydney-based finance team. This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, high-volume environment and who is passionate about process improvement and driving efficiencies.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in managing accounts payable and receivable activities across a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (75%)

• Processing and coding supplier invoices
• Preparing multi-currency payment runs
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Managing vendor queries and stakeholder relationships
• Credit card and expense claim processing
• Vendor master data maintenance
• AP ledger reconciliations and clean-up activities
• Supporting finance projects and process improvement initiatives

Accounts Receivable (25%)

• Raising customer invoices
• Following up outstanding accounts
• Preparing monthly debtor reports
• Customer reconciliations
• AR ledger maintenance
• Supporting automation and efficiency projects

About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Minimum 5 years' Accounts Payable experience
• Experience working within a high-volume transactional environment
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• A proactive, continuous improvement mindset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Understanding of accounting principles and general ledger structures
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
