Sales Representative

Location: North Dynon, Melbourne 

Remuneration/Benefit: Salary + commission

Aurizon’s expanding Containerised Freight business is looking for a driven Sales Representative to help more customers move their freight by rail.

What you’ll do:

• Grow a portfolio of customers using Aurizon’s rail‑based containerised freight services. 
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Australia. 
• Engage customers to deeply understand their transport requirements and provide tailored rail‑freight solutions. 
• Build strong and lasting relationships with existing clients. 
• Generate leads through cold outreach, referrals, networking and industry contacts. 
• Maintain accurate customer data and sales activity records through CRM discipline. 
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to prepare bids, proposals and pricing. 
• Stay across market trends, competitor activity and customer movements 

What you’ll bring 

• 12+ months’ experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding or similar (road, rail, containerised, or warehousing) – Preferred. 
• Confidence working with customers discussing commercial terms and operational requirements. 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and build rapport quickly. 
• A proactive mindset, natural curiosity, and motivation to deliver growth. 
• Drive to learn the rail freight sector — full commercial training provided
