About the role
IMPORTANT: We are seeking a MATURE FEMALE SUPPORT WORKER (30+) from an AUSTRALIAN BACKGROUND, in line with the participant's preferences. Applicants MUST have experience supporting COMPLEX CLIENTS with PSYCHOSOCIAL DISABILITY, MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS and BEHAVIOURS OF CONCERN.
About the roleSEED Disability Services is seeking an experienced female Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a 57-year-old male participant in Oran Park.
This is a complex support role. The participant has psychosocial and mental health support needs and requires a worker who is confident, calm, mature and able to maintain strong professional boundaries.
Experience with complex behaviours, de-escalation, Positive Behaviour Support and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) is essential.
We require someone who:Is a mature female support worker, preferably 30+
Is from an Australian background, as requested by the participant
Has strong experience with psychosocial disability and mental health
Has experience supporting complex clients and behaviours of concern
Is confident with de-escalation and Positive Behaviour Support
Can follow BSPs and restrictive practice procedures
Is calm, resilient and able to maintain professional boundaries
Has experience with high-level support needs
Can attend a face-to-face interview
Is available to start immediately
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 8-hour shifts
There is potential for hours to increase, including longer shifts and possible sleepovers as the participant's supports increase.
