Graduate Journalist: AdNews

Yaffa Media is one of Australia’s leading independent media companies, celebrating 100 years of business in 2025.

As a journalist for legendary media title AdNews, you will produce daily online news and contribute to event content throughout the year. 

The ideal candidate will have some experience in journalism and a go-getter attitude in picking up the phone, networking, attending industry events and securing industry leading scoops. 

This role is for a candidate who values true journalism - getting the news before it breaks, developing a network of contacts and sourcing stories from the ground up.

We have a close-knit and energetic editorial team supported by marketing, commercial and event departments. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an independent Australian media brand with a solid history, job security, talented teams and a flexible/hybrid working environment that allows employees to WFH two days a week.

 Qualifications/Skills

 •  An energetic journalist with some professional experience. 

• Enthusiasm for getting on the phone, securing exclusive content, interviewing and maintaining key contacts.

• A drive to attend industry events for networking and news gathering opportunities.

•  Excellent organisational abilities and ability to produce regular, fast moving content.

• The ability to produce great journalism and work to deadline.
