About the role

At IKAD Engineering, we’re offering an opportunity for a Junior Project Engineer to join our team in Henderson and support the delivery of complex fabrication and manufacturing projects across Defence, Marine and Industrial sectors.

What you'll be doing

You’ll work closely with our Project Management team to support the successful delivery of projects across schedule, budget and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting project delivery from planning through to completion

• Coordinating materials, subcontractors and suppliers

• Assisting with project scheduling and identifying risks or delays

• Supporting cost tracking, variation pricing and progress reporting

• Preparing and maintaining project documentation and work packs

• Assisting with quality assurance and compliance requirements

• Developing work instructions, TIPs, risk assessments and quality records

• Learning IKAD systems, processes and project workflows

We’re after someone who is motivated, eager to learn and ready to grow within a fast-paced engineering environment.

Essential:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related field

• 1–2 years’ experience (or strong graduate-level exposure)

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High level organisation and ability to meet deadlines

• Intermediate–advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word & Excel)

• Exposure to CAD packages

• Strong communication skills and team mindset

• Proactive approach to HSEQ and safety

• WA C-Class Driver’s Licence

• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a National Police Clearance prior to commencing employment.

Desirable:

• Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or similar industries

• White Card
