Maintenance Supervisor (Civil)

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Delivery Lead (Civil), you will be responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of civil maintenance activities across rail and road infrastructure assets. This role will oversee contractors, coordinate maintenance works, manage asset defects and ensure infrastructure remains fit for purpose.

This position is based on site and would suit residents who can FIFO from Townsville or Rockhampton.

Key accountabilities

• Lead a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with rail, WHS and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance activities across rail civil infrastructure, Mine Access Roads and associated assets.
• Supervise contractors and maintenance resources to deliver safe, efficient and quality outcomes.
• Support maintenance planning, scheduling, shutdowns and resource forecasting.
• Monitor asset condition, inspections and defect management activities.
• Coordinate infrastructure recovery and emergency response activities when required.
• Maintain reporting, compliance documentation and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 5 years' experience within rail, civil infrastructure, road maintenance, construction or heavy industry environments.
• Experience supervising contractors and field-based maintenance activities.
• Strong safety leadership and stakeholder management capability.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities across geographically dispersed assets.
• Current Open C Class Driver Licence.
• SARC and RSURED qualifications, or the ability to obtain them.
• White Card, or the ability to obtain. 

Desirable

• Certificate IV or higher in Civil Construction, Rail Infrastructure, Asset Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• First Aid qualification.
