nursery assistant

We are currently looking for a part-time / casual Nursery Hand Assistant for 15 - 20 hours per week.

Carry out duties as needed, including: 

• Managing supplies of clean glassware and supplies;

• Assisting with preparation of growth media;

• Plant tissue culture; 

• Managing nursery plants; 

• General operational duties (cleaning, ordering supplies, etc); and

• Autoclaving.

Key selection criteria: 

Candidates must demonstrate: 

• Ability to follow instruction; 

• Ability to work in an efficient manner with minimal supervision; 

• Ability to work in a team; 

• Attention to detail in all aspects of work; 

• Ability to lift 15-20kg;

• Reliability; and 

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
