Motorcycle Mechanic

About the role

RSM Motorcycles is seeking a skilled Motorcycle Mechanic to join our team in Wauchope, NSW. This can be on a full time or part-time basis offering flexibility whilst contributing to our commitment to providing exceptional motorcycle maintenance and repair services to our valued customers. As a Motorcycle Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every motorcycle that leaves our workshop is in peak condition, maintaining the safety and satisfaction of our clients. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of motorcycles whilst developing your expertise in automotive trades. We are a Kawasaki and AJP Motors dealership.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on motorcycles using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, chain adjustments and brake servicing

• Repair and overhaul motorcycle engines, transmissions and related components

• Use specialised equipment and tools safely and responsibly

• Document all work completed in service records and maintain accurate job notes

• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair work, costs and timelines

• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment

• Keep on top of new motorcycle models, technologies and repair techniques

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in motorcycle mechanics or automotive trades (such as a Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology)

• Proven experience working as a motorcycle mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role

• Strong knowledge of motorcycle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension and electrical components

• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and mechanical hand tools

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and service bulletins

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach

• Reliability and punctuality

• Current Australian driver's licence with R classification

• Working knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations
