Forklift Operator / Yard Assistant

About The Role: 

We are an established manufacturing businesses supplying building products across the construction and industrial sectors. This position is available for an experienced worker seeking full day’s work, 5 days per week in busy production environment.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do. All duties are carried out in accordance with M&P Services’ Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.

 What You Will Be Doing

• Operating forklifts…. Up to 12t.

• Loading and unloading steel products from vehicles.

• Loading and unloading transportable buildings from vehicles.

• Picking and assembling building accessories.

• Moving materials throughout the yard and warehouse.

• Loading steel scrap bins and assisting with scrap recovery.

• Completing pre-start checks on plant and equipment.

• Maintaining a clean and organised work area and machinery.

 What You Will Need

To be successful in these roles you will need to have the below:

• Current Forklift Licence with practical operating experience

• Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport

• Previous machine operating, forklift experience, heavy industry experience

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to follow workplace health and safety procedures

• Reliable attendance and ability to work within a team

• Reliability, initiative and confidence working with minimal supervision
