About the role
Super Benefits Administration (SBA) is a specialist superannuation administrator providing administration and support services to First Super and other valued industry clients.
We are committed to providing high-quality administration services and exceptional support to members and stakeholders across the superannuation environment.
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Pension Specialist to join our Administration team on a 6-month contract (full-time basis).
The Pension Specialist is responsible for providing high-quality information and efficient administrative services to prospective and existing Transition to Retirement (TTR) and Retirement Income pension members.
This role will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of key member requests, including investment options, tax deduction notices and Family Law superannuation splitting, while providing exceptional support to both internal and external stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced superannuation professional to contribute their expertise in pension administration within a collaborative and member-focused environment.
What You'll DoProvide accurate, timely and professional information and administrative support to prospective and current TTR and Retirement Income members.
Manage Family Law – Superannuation Splitting requests, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Process Investment Choice applications accurately and within required timeframes.
Facilitate the processing and confirmation of member Tax Deduction Notices.
Work closely with the Contact Centre to assist with the resolution of member queries and provide guidance and technical support where required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant superannuation legislation, policies and procedures.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with regulatory obligations, internal policies and service level agreements (SLAs).
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across administration processes and member services.
Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Contact Centre, Administration, Claims & Insurance teams, as well as external stakeholders including First Super Trustee Office personnel, coordinators and financial planners.
Demonstrated experience in superannuation administration, particularly in pension products such as TTR and Retirement Income.
Sound understanding of Family Law requirements in the context of superannuation.
Strong knowledge of relevant superannuation legislation, including tax deduction processes and investment switching.
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and compliance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and professional approach.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and support Contact Centre staff.
Experience with superannuation administration platforms, such as Acurity.
Previous experience in a member-facing or back-office superannuation role.
Work in a specialist superannuation administration environment.
