Biomedical Electronics Technician (519123)

• Undertake acceptance testing, calibration, maintenance, repair, function and safety testing of medical equipment in all public health facilities within the DoH.
• Interpret relevant policies and perform routine quality assurance and safety testing on all medical equipment throughout the DoH facilities in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and Therapeutic Goods Administration regulations.
• Provide technical support and education to health professionals in the operational and functional use of the wide range of medical equipment found in a tertiary referral teaching Hospital.

• Broad technical and working knowledge of medical equipment typically found in a tertiary referral hospital.
• Understanding of the principles of Electronic Engineering and Information Technology, and demonstrated understanding and recognised experience in electronic fault finding and repair, including computer controlled systems and devices.
• Demonstrate high level communication and problem solving skills, and an ability to consult with a range of health care workers at all levels.

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible up to 31 July 2027.

$102,027 to $106,985 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electronic or Electrical Engineering from a recognised TAFE institution or an equivalent qualification, appropriate to the nature of the work.

• Eligible for officer level membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia
• Previous experience in the Health Care Industry.
• Current Driver’s Licence
