Agreement: Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2024
Salary range: $41.05 per hour (21+ rate), inclusive of sessional rates and casual loading + 13.5% superannuation.

About the role

Do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference to the safety and wellbeing of the community?

As a Lifeguard at the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for all patrons. You will actively supervise aquatic facilities, respond to emergencies, provide first aid where required, support the delivery of programs and events, and help maintain high standards of facility presentation and water quality.

Role accountabilities include:

• Supervising patrons to ensure a safe and enjoyable aquatic environment.
• Providing pool rescue, emergency response and first aid assistance when required.
• Monitoring water quality and maintaining accurate testing records.
• Assisting with the setup and pack down of programs and events.
• Supporting the maintenance, cleanliness and presentation of aquatic facilities.
• Contributing to a positive customer experience through responsive and professional service.

• You have an enthusiastic approach, willingness to learn and seek innovative solutions when faced with challenges.

Relevant Industry Qualifications are essential for this role. Qualifications required include:

• Current RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP)
• Current CPR Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate
