We are currently seeking a permanent, full-time Human Resource Consultant to join our team at Fremantle Hospital.

Position Profile and Role

This role delivers a customer-focussed HR consultancy service - including specialised recruitment support and advice - to clients at all levels across designated portfolios. You will also develop and present education and information seminars for management and staff on HR management matters.

This role also commits to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with the WA Health Code of Conduct, the SMHS Vision of Excellent health care, every time, and Values of Care (Kaaradj), Integrity (Ngwidam), Respect (Kaaratj), Excellence (Beli-beli) and Teamwork (Yaka-dadjoo).

Fremantle Hospital (FHHS) is a 300-bed specialist hospital delivering high-quality aged care, mental health, rehabilitation, planned surgery and medical services. Supporting the tertiary and quaternary services of Fiona Stanley Hospital, Fremantle Hospital provides a broad range of specialist care across areas including orthopaedics, general and plastic surgery, ENT, specialised hand surgery, ophthalmology, urology, vascular, endoscopy, dental and maxillofacial, and women’s health services.

In addition to the Essential Criteria and Desirable Criteria outlined in the attached Job Description Form (JDF), the below requirements will also be considered to determine your suitability for the role: 

• Candidates must have contemporary experience in recruitment, selection and delivery of HR education and learning.
• Candidates must have flexibility to travel between SMHS sites as the role operates predominately out of FHHS with occassional travel to other SMHS sites for service delivery.

  1. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of direct Human Resource Management Consultancy and support (including recruitment) in a multidisciplinary organisation
  2. Demonstrated ability to apply merit-based selection principles, design robust assessment methods and support recruitment panels to make sound, well documented and equitable selection decisions
• The names and contact details of two (2) current referees who can attest to your suitability for this role. Please note referees may be contacted as part of the initial assessment process.
