Electrical Manager Business Development

About the role

As the Electrical Manager / Business Development lead at Innovent Engineering Group Pty Ltd, you will manage and grow our electrical division, leading 10+ personnel while driving technical delivery, commercial performance and new business. Based in Forrestdale, WA with frequent travel, you will manage key clients, divisional performance and market growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the electrical team of 10+ personnel.

• Oversee quality across electrical design, manufacturing, assembly, FAT/SAT and service.

• Implement departmental policies, procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor budgets, costs, margins, profitability and team capacity.

• Identify new markets and build strategic client relationships.

• Develop and execute a 1-3 year divisional strategy aligned with corporate goals.

• Lead pipeline, key accounts, proposals, contract negotiations and major opportunity closures.

• Manage divisional P&L, cash flow, project margins and supplier performance.

• Provide technical leadership on electrical projects, switchboard design and manufacturing.

• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, regulations, client requirements and the IMS.

About you

• Minimum 8-10 years' electrical experience with progression into leadership roles.

• Electrical design and project execution experience across LV, MV and UPS systems.

• Switchboard design, board building and manufacturing experience.

• Proven people leadership experience, including at least 3 years managing teams.

• Business development and sales experience in technical or engineering environments.

• Strong commercial acumen across P&L, margins, cash flow, pricing and strategy.

• Strong electrical standards and compliance knowledge; Electrical Licence preferred.
