At Communities we play a vital role in supporting and strengthening communities across Western Australia. We provide services and work with our partners to keep children safe, provide vital community services, including in emergencies, address homelessness, prevent family and domestic violence and provide stewardship for the disability sector. Our work also includes regulating early childhood education and care and leading initiatives across women’s interests, youth, seniors and ageing, carers, and volunteering.

Step into the world of Strategy Regulation and Legal, where your work is more than just a job.
By joining the talent register, you’ll register your interest online for the Policy Officer, Strategy Officer, and Senior Policy Officer roles, and become part of our talent pool. This Talent Register is seeking to establish a register of applicants for contract opportunities available for up to twelve months.
Policy Officer - Level 5, contributes to Policy formulation and advice and undertakes research and analysis in relation to the development of Strategies and Policies which build safe, strong, secure and inclusive Communities.
Strategy Officer – Level 5, this position has the Delegated Authority and responsibility to plan and control projects and activities required to deliver program and Department outcomes.
Senior Policy Officer – Level 6, contributes to high level policy formulation and the provision of advice and undertakes research and analysis in relation to the development of strategies and policies which build safe, strong, secure and inclusive communities.
