Registered Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a professional, motivated and well-presented Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive medical centre located in Harris Park. This position is available on a Part-Time or Full-Time basis and would suit a Registered Nurse who is organised, reliable and confident working within a busy general practice environment. Reporting to the Practice Manager and working closely with our doctors and administrative team, you will assist in managing the treatment room and provide high-quality nursing care and exceptional service to our patients.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging patients and assisting with clinical assessments
• Wound care, dressings and wound management
• Administering immunisations and vaccinations
• Conducting health checks and other general practice nursing duties
• Assisting doctors with procedures and patient care as required
• Managing and maintaining the treatment room
• Responding to general patient enquiries
• Booking and coordinating patient appointments
• Assisting with telephone reception duties when required
• Coordinating appointments between doctors, allied health professionals and patients

About you

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn practice software
• A professional, reliable and motivated approach to work
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Previous experience in general practice or a medical centre is desirable but not essential
