About the team

The Ignite Therapeutic Solutions team is currently consists of two OTs who are seeking a like-minded, dedicated OT to join the team.

Fari (Director/Principal OT) has been an OT for 13 years and has diverse OT experience across varying caseloads, and in urban, rural and remote communities.

About the role

Ideal applicants will be kind, hard-working and organised.

The role will involve clinical assessment and intervention for people living with disabilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive functional assessments to identify participant needs
• Developing recommendations tailored to the functional and holistic needs of participants and their support networks
• Delivering face to face and remote occupational therapy support, including Capacity Building therapy, 
• Skills in Assistive Technology and Home Modification prescription would be appreciated however not required. 
• Collaborating with participants, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to care
• Completing Functional Capacity, Supported Independent Living, Specialist Disability Accommodation and Plan Review reports
• Maintaining professional and timely documentation including progress notes and client files

You will have flexibility in the management of your caseload, with availability for at least 2 business days preferred.

Our clinic is in Wangara. The role involves working from home, alongside face to face support provided in participants’ homes and community environments.

What you’ll need

• A positive and person-centred approach
• Occupational Therapy accreditation with AHPRA
• Driver’s license
• Demonstrated experience in the provision of occupational therapy services
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with participants and their support networks
• Effective problem-solving and clinical reasoning skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care and a passion for supporting participants to live lives that are meaningful and enjoyable
