Cabinetry Installer (with Cabinet Making Experience)

About the role

CARUSI & MACFARLANE PROJECTS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Cabinetry Installer with Cabinet Making Experience to join our team in Briar Hill, VIC. This is a full-time position that combines hands-on installation expertise with cabinet-making knowledge to deliver high-quality bespoke joinery solutions for our clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for the professional installation of custom cabinetry whilst drawing on your cabinet-making background to ensure precision, quality, and attention to detail. Your expertise will be vital in bringing our design concepts to life and maintaining the high standards that define our reputation in the trades and services industry.

Key responsibilities

• Install custom-built cabinetry in residential and commercial settings, ensuring precise alignment and secure fixtures

• Read and interpret detailed architectural plans and design specifications to guide installation processes

• Measure and prepare installation sites, including wall preparation and levelling where necessary

• Assemble and fit cabinet components, drawers, doors and hardware with meticulous attention to detail

• Apply finishing touches such as caulking, sealing and varnishing to achieve a professional aesthetic

• Collaborate with cabinet makers and design teams to resolve on-site challenges and maintain design integrity

• Ensure all installations comply with relevant building codes and safety standards

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, properly storing and disposing of materials

• Communicate with clients and project managers regarding progress, timelines and any issues that arise

• Perform quality checks to verify workmanship meets company standards before project completion

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in cabinetry installation with a demonstrated track record of high-quality installations

• Solid background in cabinet making, including knowledge of joinery techniques and timber properties

• Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications and building codes

• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws, sanders, drills and finishing equipment

• Ability to take accurate measurements and perform precise calculations

• Problem-solving skills to adapt installations to site-specific conditions

• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering flawless finishing

• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team

• Reliability, punctuality and professional demeanour with clients and colleagues

• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites as required

• Preferred: Relevant qualifications in carpentry, cabinet making or joinery; experience with custom or bespoke cabinetry
