Systems Accountant

The System Accountant is responsible for optimising the ERP environment, with a core focus on JD Edwards. Acting as the bridge between Finance, Technology and operational stakeholders, the role is focused on improving process efficiency, data quality, reporting capability and financial controls while helping the business maximise value from its ERP investment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a systems-savvy finance professional who enjoys process improvement, automation and driving meaningful change across a growing blue chip organisation based out of it's Perth WA offices (hybrid role).

Qualification and Education Requirements

· Degree in Accounting

· CA/CPA qualified

· 5+ yrs of relevant accounting, JDE finance systems or finance transformation experience.

· Hands on experience with JDE Finance in an implementation or maturing systems environment highly regarded

What you'll be doing

· Becoming the go to Finance expert on JD Edwards, helping teams get the most out of finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA), workflows and reporting

· Working closely with Finance and Technology to spot opportunities for improvement and deliver system upgrades that actually make people's jobs easier

· Cutting down manual work, spreadsheets and rework by building smarter, more automated processes

· Improving financial controls and data integrity through better system setup, approvals and master data practices

· Helping build out reporting across JD Edwards, ReportsNow and other tools

· Supporting finance users through change, so new processes actually stick

· Flagging system and process risks early, with practical recommendations to fix them
