About the role

Predominantly based in the Barossa region and reporting to the Strategic Planning Manager this role will provide management reporting and insight into financial and operational performance to support strategic decision-making, as well as carry out financial analysis providing recommendations to encourage operational efficiency.

You will quickly become a trusted commercial advisor to key stakeholders, identify and analyse key cost drivers, develop 3-year financial plans and measure ongoing performance of financial and operational KPIs.

Key tasks include

•              Provide Financial Analysis and Recommendations through the understanding of key sales and cost drivers, identifying and evaluating the financial and operating impact of these drivers.

•              Review profit and loss performance and prepare board reporting for International Sales.

•              Planning and forecasting for International sales and managing rebate accruals.

•              Working with winemakers, operations and brand teams to develop and monitor systems to manage product costs with benchmarking and recommendations for savings opportunities.

•                 Financial Modelling and financial evaluations, e.g. NPV and payback calculations, financial support for capital evaluations and reviewing all production capital expense projects and participate in justification process where appropriate.

•              Standardise measurements, KPI’s, information guidelines, accessibility of data, reconcile data sources

•              Review and analyse relevant data, solving for inaccuracies or lack of integrity through the appropriate channels, ensuring correction and resolution.

About you

Experience in an analytical role is essential, preferably within FMCG, winemaking, manufacturing or distribution. Tertiary qualifications in Business/Finance, Engineering or Information Systems discipline is preferred.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and solve complex operational and financial issues with an advanced knowledge of MS Office (Intermediate to Advanced Excel essential).

Excellent planning, organisation and project management skills with ability to multi-task/prioritise on regular basis and possess the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small and large group situations. A working knowledge of business systems (Oracle JD Edwards, Adaptive Planning) is desirable.
