The area is the 1 x days p/w, with potential for additional days pending task work in Eastern Melbourne (Croydon and surrounding) and is 1 x days per week for 6hrs/day with the potential for additional days. Applied Brokers is a family owned and run business that has been in the Retail Food Broker industry for over 30 years. We deal with a wide variety of great and interesting products, which will always keep the job interesting!

This role is perfect for someone who is after casual work with flexible hours or someone that is looking to return to the work force. It’s a great opportunity if you are looking to kick-start a professional career in merchandising. The ideal candidate should have a positive and passionate outlook.

Your role will entail several duties that can range from general task work, such as display set up/monitoring and audit work: to selling into your independent groups and presenting new lines coming onto the market. The role also involves communicating within a field team, communicating with your stores, and understanding and supporting our company goals.

About the Role:

• Talking with independent groups, selling new products whilst maintaining the current range

• Developing and maintaining an in-store relationship with independent grocers.

• Be able to prioritise and complete work efficiently.

• Managing task work, such as planograms and displays.

• Complete field reporting and monitoring promotional activity, including competitors.

• If successful, training will be provided.

To be successful you will need to:

• Be highly motivated and well presented.

• Have excellent communications skills.

• Be able to use an electronic device.

• Great organizational skills

• Great eye for detail

• Be able to work on your own with minimal supervision.

• Have access to email and a printer.

• Have your own transport and a current and valid Australian Driver’s licence

Experience is preferred but not essential. You must have access to a car and a valid driver’s licence.
