Receptionist

About the role

Shangri La Gardens is seeking a Receptionist to manage front desk operations at our 40-room motel in Wynnum West. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries while coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Make computer reservations and check guests in and out

• Answer phone calls, emails and reply to guest messages via booking partners

• Perform general reception duties

• Coordinate with Housekeepers & Maintenance to track readiness of rooms for check-in

• Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest

• Reply to company reviews

• Process all payments for bookings

• Identify any special requests from guests for bookings

• Perform other reasonable duties as required

About you

• Minimum of 12 months' experience in a receptionist or similar role, preferably within the Motel industry

• Proven experience in a face-to-face customer service position

• Positive attitude and excellent grooming standards

• Good communication skills

• Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service

• Professional phone manner and personal presentation

• Able to work on your own and as part of a team

• Computer skills required

• Knowledge of Room Master Anywhere is preferred but not essential

• To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate at least 12 months' experience in a receptionist or similar role, preferably within the Motel industry, and proven experience in a face-to-face customer service position.
